Zamfara Government Commends NAHCON for Effective 2026 Hajj Operations

The Zamfara State Government has commended the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for its effective service delivery and prompt response to challenges encountered during the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The commendation was conveyed in a letter titled “Appreciation for Effective Service Delivery and Prompt Response to Emerging Challenges,” signed by the Emir of Anka, Alhaji Attahiru Muhammad Ahmad, who also serves as Chairman of the Zamfara State 2026 Amirul Hajj Committee.
In the letter, the committee praised NAHCON for its responsiveness to issues affecting Zamfara pilgrims and acknowledged the Commission’s commitment to ensuring their welfare throughout the pilgrimage.
The committee specifically highlighted the leadership of NAHCON Chairman, Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf, noting that the Commission acted swiftly in addressing concerns related to feeding and accommodation arrangements in Madinah and Mina.
According to the letter, the Commission’s timely interventions significantly improved the comfort and overall experience of pilgrims from the state.
“Your swift interventions regarding feeding and accommodation arrangements in Madinah and Mina significantly improved the comfort and overall experience of Zamfara State pilgrims,” the letter stated.
The Amirul Hajj Committee further noted that the level of coordination, care and attention demonstrated by the NAHCON chairman reflected a strong commitment to creating a peaceful and conducive environment for pilgrims to perform their religious obligations.
The committee also expressed appreciation to the management and staff of the Commission for their dedication, professionalism and service to the Muslim Ummah during the Hajj operations.
The committee also prayed for Allah’s blessings and abundant rewards upon the Commission and all individuals who contributed to the successful conduct of the pilgrimage.
The letter, dated June 11, 2026, serves as a formal recognition of NAHCON’s efforts in enhancing the welfare of Nigerian pilgrims and ensuring the smooth execution of Hajj activities for Zamfara State contingents.
