The Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has recorded major milestones in digital innovation, international Hajj coordination, human resource development and pilgrim satisfaction as part of efforts to improve services for visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.

The developments, highlighted in the ministry’s October 2026 newsletter, include the conclusion of preparatory meetings with Hajj affairs offices from 78 countries ahead of the 2027 (1448 AH) Hajj season.

The international engagements form part of Saudi Arabia’s preparations for the next Hajj exercise, with the ministry working with participating countries on arrangements for their pilgrims.

The ministry also announced the launch of its Nabtaker platform, an initiative designed to encourage innovation and develop solutions for improving services to pilgrims.

In another development, the ministry received recognition in the Outstanding Digital Government Entity category at the seventh edition of the Gulf Digital Government Awards in 2026.

The recognition highlights its efforts to incorporate digital solutions into government operations and services provided to pilgrims and visitors.

On human resource development, the ministry announced that it secured first place in the HR Practices Maturity Award for the second consecutive assessment, ranking first among ministries in the 2023 and 2025 assessments.

The October newsletter also disclosed that more than 27,000 beneficiaries participated in the ministry’s satisfaction surveys through telephone calls and digital communication channels.

The surveys form part of efforts to obtain feedback from beneficiaries and assess the quality of services delivered to visitors.

Additionally, the ministry participated in the Arabic Language and Hajj Symposium in collaboration with King Abdulaziz University and the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, reflecting efforts to strengthen the connection between Arabic language development and Hajj-related scholarship.

The developments reflect the ministry’s continuing focus on improving institutional capacity, embracing digital innovation and strengthening coordination with international Hajj authorities.

Saudi Arabia hosts millions of pilgrims and Umrah visitors annually, making service efficiency, international cooperation and technological innovation important components of its pilgrimage management strategy.
