The Presidency of Religious Affairs at Masjid al-Haram has opened applications for women volunteers with expertise in media, artificial intelligence and other specialized fields to support services for pilgrims and visitors at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

The initiative welcomes both Saudi and non-Saudi women aged 18 years and above, reflecting efforts to broaden participation in volunteer work and harness professional skills to enhance the experience of worshippers.

According to the Presidency, the volunteer opportunities cover six key areas: design and creativity, photography and media production, technical and digital transformation, data analysis, artificial intelligence, and digital experience as well as archiving.

Officials said the program aims to attract qualified professionals capable of contributing innovative solutions and modern technologies to support operations and services at Islam’s holiest site.

The Presidency encouraged women with relevant academic qualifications and practical experience to take advantage of the opportunity.

It also invited specialized associations and professional organizations to participate in the program and contribute their expertise through organized volunteer activities.

As part of the application process, interested candidates must first register on the National Volunteer Work Platform, a mandatory requirement for all volunteers.

Applicants can then complete the registration procedures through the designated channels provided by the Presidency.

The move underscores the growing role of women in supporting religious and community services across the Kingdom while promoting the use of digital technologies in managing pilgrim-related activities.

By recruiting volunteers in fields such as artificial intelligence, data analytics and digital transformation, the Presidency seeks to strengthen operational efficiency and improve services for millions of pilgrims and visitors who arrive at the Grand Mosque each year.

The latest initiative aligns with ongoing efforts to expand volunteer engagement and integrate innovation into the management of one of the world’s most visited religious destinations.
