“You Have 48 Hours to Secure Your Hajj Seat” — Kaduna Tells Pilgrims
By Abdulrazaq Auwal
The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has given intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj 48 hours to complete their outstanding fare payments or risk losing their allocated slots.
The agency fixed 12 noon on Thursday, September 24, 2026, as the deadline for all pilgrims who have commenced payment to settle their outstanding balances.
The directive, issued amid an accelerated remittance timeline from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), was contained in a statement signed by the agency’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Adamu Datti, on Monday.
The agency said the shortened payment window followed NAHCON’s decision to bring forward the deadline for states to remit pilgrims’ Hajj fares.
According to the statement, NAHCON had initially given Kaduna State until December 2 to complete the remittance but subsequently reviewed the deadline, leaving the state with limited time to meet its financial obligations.

The agency consequently appealed to all intending pilgrims to treat the September 24 deadline with urgency and complete their payments before the cut-off time.
It warned that pilgrims who fail to comply with the new deadline risk losing their allocated slots for the 2027 Hajj.
The development places Kaduna among states racing to conclude key financial preparations for the 2027 pilgrimage following the shortened remittance timeline.
The agency urged affected pilgrims to use the remaining window to clear their balances and secure their participation in next year’s Hajj.
With the deadline set for 12 noon on Thursday, pilgrims yet to complete their payments have only a limited window to comply with the directive and avoid the risk of losing their allocated places.
