The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has led a delegation of senior officials of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to condole with the family of Alhaji Salisu Abdullahi Gaya, who died after a brief illness.

 

Gaya, aged 55, was a staff member of NAHCON and served at the Commission’s Kano Zonal Office until his death.

 

During the condolence visit, Matawalle expressed deep sorrow over the death and prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings and grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.

 

He urged the bereaved family to remain united, maintain peace and support one another as they come to terms with the loss.

Matawalle described the death as a painful loss to the family and the wider Hajj administration community, while offering prayers for strength and comfort for those left behind.

 

The delegation included the NAHCON Director of Administration, Alhaji Alidu Shuti; Director of States and Zones, Malam Muhammad Ahmad Shira; Director of Planning, Alhaji Ibrahim Mahmud; and Special Adviser to the Chairman of NAHCON, Alhaji Muhammad Maigari.

 

The officials joined Matawalle in extending condolences to the deceased’s family and praying for the repose of his soul. Gaya is survived by his wife and three children.

 

The condolence visit reflected the solidarity between the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board and NAHCON, particularly among officials involved in the administration of Hajj affairs and pilgrims’ welfare in the state.
