The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has taken its sensitisation campaign on the 2027 Hajj registration exercise to the Lere and Saminaka Emirates in Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The Executive Chairman of the Agency, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, led members of the management to the two Emirates, where they engaged intending pilgrims and other stakeholders on the registration process and requirements for the forthcoming pilgrimage.

Ibrahim Datti, Public Relations Officer of the agency disclosed this in statement issued on Monday.

Speaking during the sensitisation programme, Abubakar urged intending pilgrims to pay the minimum initial deposit of N4 million and submit their valid international passports to the Agency before the September 26, 2026 registration deadline.

He stressed the need for prospective pilgrims to complete all registration requirements within the stipulated period, warning that failure to do so could result in missing the opportunity to participate in the 2027 Hajj exercise.

The Chairman also encouraged intending pilgrims to take advantage of the ongoing registration exercise and comply with the Agency’s guidelines to facilitate effective preparation for the pilgrimage.

The Emir of Lere, Engr. Suleiman Umaru, and the Emir of Saminaka, Alhaji Musa Sani Ibrahim, commended the Agency for extending the sensitisation campaign to their respective Emirates.

The traditional rulers appreciated the Agency’s management for providing intending pilgrims and stakeholders with timely information on the requirements and procedures for the 2027 Hajj registration.

The Agency reiterated its call on all intending pilgrims to complete their registration and submit the required documents before the September 26 deadline.

The sensitisation exercise is part of the Agency’s efforts to ensure that intending pilgrims across Kaduna State understand the registration requirements and adequately prepare for the 2027 Hajj.
