Jigawa Announces 2027 Hajj Fare, Sets September 18 Payment Deadline

The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the final fare for the 2027 Hajj at N7,672,822, directing intending pilgrims to complete payment by September 18, 2026.
The Director-General of the Board, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo, FCFA, NFI, disclosed this in a statement issued by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Habibu Yusuf Babura.
According to the statement, pilgrims who have already paid the initial deposit of N7.5 million are required to pay an outstanding balance of N172,822 to complete their registration.
Labbo urged intending pilgrims to meet the September 18 payment deadline, while directing zonal officers to intensify efforts to ensure that all registered pilgrims complete their financial obligations within the stipulated period.

He also tasked the officers with stepping up sensitisation campaigns ahead of the commencement of the 2027 Hajj operations.
The Director-General expressed appreciation to the officers for their cooperation and commitment towards the successful preparation for the pilgrimage.
He also commended the Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, for his support, particularly through the provision of loans that enabled the state to secure Hajj seats for intending pilgrims.
The Board’s announcement comes ahead of the broader national timeline for the 2027 Hajj, with preparations continuing across states to ensure pilgrims meet registration, payment and documentation requirements ahead of the pilgrimage.
