ChairmanKebbi Pilgrims Lauds Governor Idris for 2026 Hajj Welfare Support

Pilgrims from Kebbi State have commended Governor Nasir Idris for the extensive welfare, care and support his administration provided throughout the 2026 Hajj exercise in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The pilgrims, drawn from the state’s 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs), conveyed their appreciation on Sunday during a reception at the Presidential Banquet Hall in Birnin Kebbi.
Speaking on behalf of the pilgrims, the Executive Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Faruk Musa Yaro, said they organized the gathering to personally thank the governor for ensuring a successful and hitch-free pilgrimage.
Yaro said the administration demonstrated an exceptional commitment to pilgrims’ welfare from the preparation stage through their safe return to Nigeria.

The Chairman noted that the government provided Hadaya payments, cash assistance and improved feeding arrangements, which enhanced the overall pilgrimage experience.
He said all Kebbi pilgrims successfully performed the Hajj rites and returned home safely in good health, attributing the achievement to God’s grace and the governor’s unwavering support.
Yaro also praised the Amirul Hajj delegation and officials of the Pilgrims Welfare Agency for diligently carrying out their responsibilities.
According to Yaro, pilgrims received adequate care throughout their stay in Madinah, Makkah, Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah.
He added that the agency successfully transported about 7,860 kilograms of pilgrims’ luggage without denying anyone their cargo entitlement.
As a mark of appreciation, pilgrims and Hajj guides presented the governor with agricultural produce, including sorghum, onions, pumpkins and a ram.
They said the gifts reflected the benefits of the state’s agricultural empowerment programs, which enabled many residents to finance their pilgrimage through farming and livestock activities.
Responding, Governor Idris thanked the pilgrims for their prayers and goodwill, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to improving welfare arrangements for future Hajj operations.
He also commended the Amirul Hajj team, agency officials and other stakeholders for delivering a successful 2026 Hajj exercise.
