The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has moved to reinforce operational readiness for the 2026 Hajj exercise, as it deepens coordination with the state’s command of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), ahead of the inaugural flight scheduled for May 14.
The Executive Chairman of the agency, Malam Salihu Abubakar, received the Controller of the State Command, CIS M.A. Mahmoud, and his delegation in a strategic engagement focused on tightening inter-agency alignment for the timely and seamless airlift of intending pilgrims.
Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Ibrahim Datti disclosed this in a statement.
The meeting underscored heightened operational urgency, with both institutions reviewing critical logistics frameworks, including documentation processing, biometric verification, clearance procedures, and overall immigration workflow integration required for efficient pilgrimage management.
Discussions emphasized the need to eliminate procedural delays and enhance coordination mechanisms as preparations enter a decisive implementation phase ahead of the airlift timeline.
Mahmoud reaffirmed the readiness of the Nigeria Immigration Service to support a smooth and orderly Hajj operation, noting that strengthened administrative and security protocols have been deployed to ensure efficient processing of pilgrims.
He stressed that effective synergy between key stakeholders remains central to delivering a hitch-free operation, particularly under the tight scheduling demands of the Hajj calendar.
In his response, Abubakar commended the Immigration Service for its sustained professionalism and operational support, describing the collaboration as a critical driver of past successes in Hajj administration.
He noted that the renewed coordination reflects a shared commitment to improving efficiency, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring that pilgrims experience a seamless and well-managed process from departure to embarkation.
The engagement highlights intensified inter-agency operational alignment in Kaduna State, as authorities move to ensure a disciplined, efficient, and hitch-free 2026 Hajj airlift under strict timelines and heightened logistical demands.
