Kebbi Concludes Registration, Hits 85% Payment Remittance for 2027 Hajj

The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has recorded significant progress in preparations for the 2027 Hajj, achieving between 90 and 95 per cent in pilgrims’ registration and 80 to 85 per cent in the remittance of Hajj fares.
The Executive Chairman of the Agency, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu Yaro Enabo, disclosed this while speaking with newsmen shortly after a courtesy visit by a delegation from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to Governor Nasir Idris.
The NAHCON delegation visited the governor to present the latest Saudi Arabian policies and operational guidelines for the 2027 Hajj.
Enabo said Kebbi had already implemented about 85 per cent of the requirements contained in the new guidelines presented by the commission, placing the state among the leading states in the country in terms of preparedness.

“On pilgrims’ registration, so far, we have reached between 90 and 95 per cent. Regarding the remittance of Hajj fares, we are currently doing very well; so far, we are number one in the country, having reached between 80 and 85 per cent in terms of payments,” he said.
He added that the Agency had also made progress in medical screening, which currently stands at between 50 and 55 per cent.
The chairman urged intending pilgrims who had paid the initial N5 million deposit to immediately complete their payments to secure their participation in the 2027 Hajj.
He also appealed to pilgrims who had yet to submit their international passports to do so without further delay, stressing that timely documentation remained critical to the success of the operation.
Enabo disclosed that Kebbi had exhausted its available pilgrim slots, indicating strong demand for the 2027 Hajj programme.
He assured stakeholders that the Agency would continue to work closely with NAHCON and the state government to ensure full compliance with Saudi requirements and deliver an efficient Hajj operation for Kebbi pilgrims.
