2027 Hajj: Adamawa on Course to Meet Passport Submission Deadline

The Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission says it is on course to meeting the deadline set by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for the submission and uploading of pilgrims’ passports ahead of the 2027 Hajj.
The Acting Executive Chairman of the Commission, Malam Abubakar Salihu disclosed this in a telephone interview with Hajj Gazette, saying the commission had concluded new registration and was now focused on completing the documentation and payment processes for already registered pilgrims.
“We are on course to meeting the passport submission deadline. We have closed the door for new registration and are focused on completion of payment for those who paid the N5 million initial deposit. They have until September 26 to complete the payment,” the chairman said.

He explained that the commission had already uploaded the passports of the majority of its registered pilgrims and was working to ensure that the remaining documentation was completed before the deadline.
“We have so far uploaded the majority of our registered pilgrims’ passports and are close to beating the deadline set by NAHCON,” he added.
The development comes as state pilgrims’ welfare boards and commissions across the country intensify preparations for the 2027 Hajj, with NAHCON enforcing deadlines for payment and the electronic submission of pilgrims’ details as part of the preparations for the pilgrimage.
The Adamawa Commission’s decision to close registration and concentrate on completing payments and documentation is expected to enable it meet the regulatory requirements ahead of the commencement of the visa processing phase.
NAHCON has set September 26, 2026, as a key deadline for states to conclude the necessary registration and documentation processes for the 2027 Hajj.
