2026 Hajj: Kebbi Strengthens Security at Pilgrims’ Luggage Unloading

Authorities of Kebbi State Muslim Pilgrims Agency have strengthened security measures at the pilgrims’ luggage unloading area to prevent the loss or misplacement of luggage belonging to returning pilgrims.
The move comes as preparations intensify for the reception of 426 pilgrims who just arrived from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia following the completion of the 2026 Hajj exercise.
Officials of the agency told Hajj Gazette that security personnel have been strategically deployed around the baggage handling and collection points to ensure proper monitoring of pilgrims’ belongings and facilitate an orderly retrieval process.
The enhanced security arrangement is aimed at safeguarding pilgrims’ property, preventing unauthorized access to luggage, and ensuring a smooth arrival operation.
Pilgrims have also been advised to properly identify their bags and cooperate with security and agency’s officials during the baggage collection process.
The authorities reiterated their commitment to ensuring that all luggage is safely delivered to their rightful owners while maintaining a seamless and efficient post-Hajj reception exercise.
