By Abdulrazaq Auwal
The Chief Executive Officer of Belas Travel and Tours Agency, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Sani, has announced that the company has activated a compliance-driven operational framework aligned with regulatory requirements governing Hajj and Umrah in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
Sani stated that the agency’s strategic measures are anchored on evolving guidelines issued by both countries, particularly recent reforms introduced by the Saudi Arabian government, including stricter visa protocols and updated residency procedures.
He affirmed that the agency is fully committed to regulatory compliance, stressing that intending pilgrims must adhere strictly to approved processes, especially in the areas of timely payment and accurate documentation.
The CEO cautioned prospective pilgrims against engaging unregistered or unauthorized travel operators, warning that such decisions could result in visa denials, accommodation challenges, and broader logistical setbacks upon arrival in Saudi Arabia.
According to him, the updated regulations also define specific durations of stay, with penalties for violations, underscoring the need for strict adherence to immigration and residency rules.
On logistics, Sani disclosed that several countries have already secured accommodation for their pilgrims, urging Nigerian pilgrims to utilize only verified and approved channels to mitigate risks associated with lodging and travel disruptions.
He further advised intending pilgrims to commence preparations well in advance, ensure prompt settlement of all required fees, and maintain engagement with licensed agencies and relevant authorities for credible information and seamless planning.
Sani also called for full compliance with the legal and regulatory frameworks of both Nigeria and Saudi Arabia to guarantee a smooth, efficient, and successful pilgrimage.
He, however, extended an invitation to intending pilgrims to register for Hajj and Umrah through Belas Travel and Tours Agency, assuring them of professional service delivery in line with international best practices.
