Sokoto Pilgrims Agency Receives Hand Luggage for 2026b Hajj Operation

The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has taken delivery of hand luggage designated for the 2026 Hajj operations, marking another milestone in its ongoing preparations for the annual pilgrimage.
Chairman of the Agency, Alhaji Aliyu Musa, personally inspected the items upon arrival and expressed satisfaction with the level of progress recorded so far.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Head of Information and Communications of the Agency, Faruku Umar.
He noted that the timely delivery of the hand luggage reflects the Agency’s commitment to ensuring a seamless and well-coordinated Hajj exercise for intending pilgrims from the state.
Speaking during the inspection, Musa disclosed that the Agency has ramped up its operational framework to guarantee efficiency across all stages of the pilgrimage process.
He emphasized that logistics and pilgrims’ welfare remain top priorities as the state positions itself for a hitch-free exercise.

The Chairman further revealed that the Agency is still expecting the delivery of pilgrims’ uniforms from the contractor.
Despite this pending component, he assured that other critical aspects of preparation are advancing steadily.
As part of its strategy to enhance pilgrims’ readiness, Musa announced plans to intensify education and enlightenment campaigns across all 23 Local Government Areas of Sokoto State.
According to him, the initiative is aimed at equipping intending pilgrims with the necessary knowledge and guidance to perform the Hajj rites in line with established procedures.
He urged all registered pilgrims to actively participate in the scheduled enlightenment sessions in their respective localities, stressing that attendance is essential for proper preparation and compliance with Hajj guidelines.
