Saudi Authorities Installs Golden Sign at Grand Mosque to Guide Pilgrims to Yemeni Corner

Authorities of Saudi Arabia has unveiled a new golden directional sign installed on the upper floor of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, enhancing navigation for worshippers and pilgrims within Islam’s holiest site.
The installation assists visitors in locating the Yemeni Corner, one of the key points of the Kaaba where pilgrims perform specific rituals during Tawaf.
The upgrade forms part of ongoing efforts to improve crowd management, streamline movement, and strengthen wayfinding systems inside the Grand Mosque in Makkah, particularly during peak pilgrimage periods.
Authorities say the enhanced signage reflects a broader operational push to improve the pilgrim experience through clearer guidance, reduced congestion, and more efficient spatial orientation within the sacred complex of Masjid al-Haram.
The Yemeni Corner, located on the southern-western side of the Kaaba, remains a significant reference point for pilgrims performing circumambulation rituals.
