Several Pakistani pilgrims returning from Madinah have expressed frustration after multiple Hajj return flights to Faisalabad arrived without their checked luggage, leaving many without essential personal belongings and medications.
The affected pilgrims reported that airport authorities informed them upon arrival that their baggage had not accompanied their flights from Saudi Arabia.
The missing items reportedly include clothing, personal documents, religious materials, and critical prescription medications needed by some of the returning pilgrims.
Many passengers voiced concern over the situation, saying the absence of their luggage has created significant inconvenience after completing the physically demanding Hajj pilgrimage.
Some pilgrims noted that they depended on medications packed in their checked baggage and now face difficulties accessing them.
Families who gathered to welcome returning relatives at Faisalabad International Airport also expressed disappointment and urged authorities to resolve the issue quickly.
Several pilgrims called for better coordination between airlines, airport operators, and baggage handling services to prevent similar incidents in future Hajj operations.
Airport officials acknowledged the problem and assured affected passengers that they had launched efforts to trace the missing baggage.
According to airport authorities, officials are working closely with relevant agencies and airline representatives to determine the location of the luggage and facilitate its transportation to Pakistan as soon as possible.
Authorities advised passengers to retain baggage claim documents and maintain contact with airline representatives for updates regarding the recovery and delivery of their belongings.
