Nusuk App: Saudi Adds Live Crowd Levels for Tawaaf, Sa’ee

The Nusuk application has introduced new digital features designed to help Hajj and Umrah pilgrims manage their worship, navigate holy sites and access travel services from a single platform.
Among the latest additions is a Tawaaf and Sa’ee tracker that automatically counts and records completed rounds, reducing the need for pilgrims to manually keep track of their progress during the rituals.
The application also now provides live crowd-level information for Tawaaf and Sa’ee areas, enabling pilgrims to monitor congestion and make informed decisions about when to perform the rituals.
Nusuk has further enhanced navigation through interactive maps covering the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.
The maps provide information on gates, facilities and prayer areas to help pilgrims move around the holy sites more efficiently.

Another addition is a Qibla Finder, which uses a pilgrim’s device location to identify the direction of the Kaaba, providing an accessible tool for determining the Qibla while at the holy sites or elsewhere.
The application has also expanded beyond worship-related services, allowing users to book flights and hotel accommodation directly through the platform.
The integration is expected to provide pilgrims with greater convenience by reducing reliance on multiple travel applications.
Nusuk has also introduced an artificial intelligence-powered assistant, known as Nusuk AI, which responds to pilgrims’ questions and provides automated assistance on matters related to their journey.
The latest upgrades reflect Saudi Arabia’s broader digital transformation of Hajj and Umrah services, with technology increasingly being deployed to improve pilgrims’ mobility, planning and access to information.
With the new features, Nusuk is positioning itself as a more comprehensive digital platform for pilgrims, combining ritual tracking, crowd monitoring, navigation, travel bookings and AI-powered assistance in one application.
