Nasarawa Pilgrims Board Submits 2026 Hajj Report to Governor Sule

The Nasarawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has presented its report on the 2026 Hajj operations to Governor Abdullahi Sule, highlighting the successful conduct of the pilgrimage and seeking additional support to strengthen future exercises.
The report was formally submitted at the Government House in Lafia by the leader of the state government delegation and State Chief Judge, Justice Aisha Mohammed Usman, who served as the Amirul Hajj for the 2026 pilgrimage.
Presenting the report, Justice Usman commended Governor Sule for placing the welfare of Nasarawa pilgrims at the forefront of the state’s Hajj operations.
She said the Governor’s commitment ensured that pilgrims enjoyed quality accommodation and received adequate care throughout their stay in the Holy Land.
She also praised the Executive Secretary of the Board, Mallam Idris Almakura, for coordinating comprehensive enlightenment and orientation programs before departure.

According to her, the sustained sensitization efforts contributed significantly to the discipline, maturity, and orderly conduct demonstrated by Nasarawa pilgrims during the pilgrimage.
Justice Usman further appealed to the Governor to provide the Board with an ambulance vehicle to strengthen emergency medical response during future Hajj operations. She noted that the additional support would help address health-related challenges that may arise while pilgrims are in Saudi Arabia.
Responding, Governor Sule congratulated the Board on what he described as a successful and well-coordinated 2026 Hajj exercise.
He commended the leadership and members of the Board for their dedication and professionalism throughout the pilgrimage.
The Governor specifically praised the Executive Secretary, Mallam Idris Almakura, Board Chairman Mallam Umar Usman Baba, Justice Aisha Mohammed Usman, and other officials for working collectively to ensure the smooth conduct of the exercise.
The presentation of the report marks the formal conclusion of Nasarawa State’s 2026 Hajj operations and provides a foundation for planning and improving future pilgrimages while sustaining the welfare and safety of intending pilgrims.
