Nasarawa Pilgrims Board Boss Honoured for Improving Hajj Administration

The Executive Secretary of the Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Idris Ahmad Almakura, has received an Award of Excellence for his contribution to pilgrims’ welfare and Hajj administration.
The award was presented to Alh Almakura by a group of media influencers in Nasarawa State led by their chairman, Aliyu Ibrahim Orah.
Mr Orah said the group decided to recognise the executive secretary after monitoring the activities of the pilgrims’ board in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
He said their assessment showed that the board had made efforts to improve the welfare and overall experience of Nasarawa pilgrims during the Hajj exercise.
“We have been following the activities of the board, both here in Nigeria and in Saudi Arabia, and we have seen the efforts being made to ensure the welfare of pilgrims,” Mr Orah said.
He said the award was intended to acknowledge Alh Almakura’s leadership, dedication and contribution to the effective running of the board.
Responding, Alh Almakura expressed appreciation to the group for the recognition, saying it would encourage him to do more in the service of pilgrims.
He pledged to strengthen efforts aimed at improving the quality of services provided to Nasarawa pilgrims and ensuring that their welfare remains a priority.
Alh Almakura dedicated the award to Governor Abdullahi Sule and the people of Nasarawa State, acknowledging their support for the activities of the pilgrims’ board.
He said the board would continue to work towards improving Hajj operations and providing pilgrims with better services before, during and after the pilgrimage.
The recognition adds to efforts by stakeholders in Nasarawa State to acknowledge individuals whose contributions have helped improve the organisation of Hajj and the welfare of pilgrims from the state.
