Matawalle Takes Charge as Acting DG of Kano Pilgrims Board, Promises Transparent Service Delivery

The newly appointed Acting Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has formally assumed duty, pledging to reposition the Board for more efficient and accountable service delivery to pilgrims from the state.

Speaking shortly after taking over the mantle of leadership, Matawalle reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the board’s operations and ensuring that intending pilgrims enjoy improved welfare services throughout the pilgrimage process.
He stressed that transparency, dedication, and teamwork would remain the guiding principles of his administration, noting that collective efforts are critical to achieving the board’s statutory mandate.
The Acting Director General also appealed to management staff and other key stakeholders to give him their full cooperation, assuring them that their support would help drive meaningful reforms aimed at enhancing pilgrims’ welfare and overall pilgrimage experience.
Matawalle’s assumed office signals a new chapter for the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, with renewed emphasis on accountability, professionalism and effective administration.
