Kebbi Amirul Hajj Assures Successful 2026 Exercise, Rates Preparations at 95%

The Amirul Hajj for Kebbi State’s 2026 Hajj exercise, Alhaji Ahmad Jafar Jega, has assured that the state’s contingent will record a successful outing, citing a high level of preparedness by the Pilgrims Welfare Agency.
Jega gave the assurance shortly after inspecting facilities at the state pilgrims’ agency, where he assessed ongoing preparations ahead of the pilgrimage.
He said the level of readiness had reached over 95 per cent based on what he observed during the inspection.
“From what we have seen on ground, preparations have reached over 95 per cent completion, which is commendable,” he said.
The Amirul Hajj disclosed that his team would meet with the Executive Chairman and top officials of the agency on Monday to consolidate plans and address outstanding issues ahead of the exercise.
He commended the leadership of the agency for what he described as a job well done, noting that the level of preparation and planning reflects strong commitment to delivering a hitch-free Hajj operation.
Jega reaffirmed his resolve to work with relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and the overall success of the 2026 Hajj exercise for pilgrims from Kebbi State.
Meanwhile, Hajj Gazette reports that the Kebbi State Government had earlier announced the appointment of Jega alongside 18 other members to oversee the 2026 Hajj operation and ensure the welfare and safety of pilgrims from the state in the Holy Land.
