Kano Pilgrims Board Rolls Out Ramadan Radio Initiative to Deepen Hajj Orientation

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has introduced a dedicated radio programme to sustain Hajj induction activities throughout the holy month of Ramadan, broadening access to pre-Hajj education for intending pilgrims across the state.
According to a statement issued by Public Relations Officer of the Board, Comrade Sulaiman Dederi, the initiative was announced by the Director General (DG), Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, at the closing of the weekly Hajj Induction Course held at the School for Arabic Studies, Kano.
Speaking at the event, the DG said the radio-based learning platform is designed to provide flexibility and inclusivity, enabling registered pilgrims to follow structured induction lectures from their homes during Ramadan.
He noted that the approach eliminates logistical barriers and ensures uninterrupted access to critical Hajj guidance.
According to him, the broadcast sessions will deliver comprehensive briefings on Hajj rites, travel documentation, health protocols, and spiritual preparedness.
The objective, he stressed, is to guarantee that all Kano pilgrims are adequately equipped both administratively and spiritually ahead of their departure.
Matawalle further assured stakeholders that operational frameworks for the 2026 pilgrimage are firmly on track.
He stated that end-to-end arrangements from outbound logistics in Kano to accommodation and welfare coordination in Saudi Arabia are being streamlined to ensure a seamless experience.
He reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to sustained orientation, pilgrim welfare, and service delivery excellence, underscoring its resolve to facilitate a hitch-free and spiritually rewarding Hajj exercise for all participants from Kano State.
The Board has urged intending pilgrims to actively engage with the Ramadan radio broadcasts as part of their mandatory induction process, describing the initiative as a strategic enhancement of its public enlightenment drive.
