The Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has confirmed the completion of medical screening for all intending pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj exercise, marking a milestone in the state’s pre-departure preparations.

The Executive Secretary (ES) of the Board, Dr. Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris, disclosed that the screening process was successfully concluded in line with operational timelines designed to ensure only medically fit pilgrims participate in the exercise.

According to a statement issued by the Board’s information officer, the ES further announced that the airlift of Bauchi State pilgrims to Saudi Arabia is scheduled to commence on April 30, 2026.

He assured stakeholders that the Board has activated all critical operational frameworks to deliver a seamless and hitch-free Hajj exercise.

The ES also acknowledged the sustained support of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, noting that the administration’s backing continues to enhance institutional readiness and service delivery within the state’s Hajj management structure.

The announcement reinforces Bauchi State’s commitment to structured planning and early execution as preparations intensify for the 2026 pilgrimage.
