Hajj 2027: UK Pilgrims Warned Against Unofficial Booking Channels

British Muslims planning to perform Hajj in 2027 have been advised to prepare early and use only Saudi Arabia’s official Nusuk Hajj platform when registration and package booking open.
Hajj 2027 is expected to take place in May, subject to the sighting of the moon. For pilgrims travelling from the United Kingdom, the booking process operates differently from conventional holiday and Umrah arrangements.
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah controlling registration, package selection and visa arrangements through Nusuk Hajj.
The official digital platform allows eligible pilgrims to create accounts, complete verification, view packages offered by authorised service providers and make payments through the approved system.
Pilgrims have consequently been warned against individuals or businesses seeking payment through bank transfers, social media, private websites or other channels outside Nusuk Hajj.
The Council of British Hajjis has also cautioned that requests for payment outside the official platform should be treated as a serious warning sign of potential fraud.
The development does not completely eliminate the role of UK-based Hajj operators. Reputable agencies can continue to support pilgrims with registration, documentation, flights from regional airports, religious guidance and group coordination, but pilgrims should distinguish such support from unofficial Hajj package sales.

For prospective pilgrims, preparation is expected to become increasingly important from late 2026 into early 2027, as registration, package selection and payment stages are expected to open progressively ahead of the May pilgrimage.
However, pilgrims have been advised not to treat expressions of interest, unpublished prices or previous-season information as confirmation of a 2027 Hajj booking.
They should instead monitor official Saudi announcements and Nusuk Hajj for confirmed registration dates, packages, prices and payment deadlines.
Prospective pilgrims are also encouraged to check passport validity, obtain required vaccinations, register each family member separately, prepare financially for payment deadlines and begin learning the rites of Hajj ahead of departure.
They should also verify the credentials and trading history of any UK-based agency offering assistance, including its physical presence and flight-booking protections.
The key message for British pilgrims is clear: prepare early, verify every claim and make official Nusuk Hajj the foundation of the booking process.
