Ghana Approves 42 Hajj Agents for 2027 Pilgrimage

The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has approved 42 accredited Hajj agents to facilitate arrangements for Ghanaian pilgrims participating in the 2027 pilgrimage.
The approval was contained in a press release issued on Thursday, September 3, 2026, by Mohammed Amin Lamptey, Director of Communications, PAOG.
The office said the full list of the 42 accredited agents, including their details, had been released to the public, urging prospective pilgrims to conduct transactions strictly through the approved operators.
PAOG warned intending pilgrims against dealing with individuals who falsely present themselves as accredited Hajj agents, stressing the need to verify operators before making payments or entering into any transaction.
The office also urged prospective pilgrims to pay their Hajj fares promptly to avoid last-minute challenges that could disrupt their pilgrimage arrangements.
It, however, introduced a strict payment condition, stating that no partial payment of Hajj fares will be accepted.
The directive is expected to strengthen financial compliance and reduce the risk of pilgrims falling victim to unaccredited agents ahead of the 2027 Hajj operation.

PAOG advised members of the public to rely on the officially released list of accredited agents when making arrangements for the pilgrimage.
The development comes as Hajj authorities across West Africa intensify preparations for the 2027 pilgrimage, with prospective pilgrims being encouraged to complete registration, documentation and financial requirements within stipulated timelines.
The Ghanaian pilgrims’ affairs authority said the accreditation framework was designed to ensure that intending pilgrims transact with recognised operators and receive legitimate Hajj-related services.
PAOG further urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspected impostors or unaccredited operators to the appropriate authorities.
The office provided its communications channels for enquiries, including email, telephone and WhatsApp contacts, as part of efforts to enable prospective pilgrims to obtain clarification on accredited agents and Hajj arrangements.
The announcement places responsibility on intending pilgrims to verify their operators and comply fully with the approved payment requirements before proceeding with their 2027 Hajj plans.
