The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) presented 47 awards at the 2026 Post-Hajj Stakeholders’ Summit, recognizing states, staff members and partner institutions for exceptional contributions to this year’s Hajj operations.
The awards, presented during the closing ceremony of the summit, honored excellence in Hajj administration, innovation, operational efficiency, pilgrims’ welfare and inter-agency collaboration.
In all, the Commission presented nine state awards, 30 individual staff awards and eight institutional recognition awards to acknowledge outstanding performance during the 2026 pilgrimage.
Kebbi State emerged as the Best State in ICT and Innovation, receiving the Gold Award, while Nasarawa State won the Best State in Pilgrims’ Welfare category.
Lagos State was recognized for Organization and Coordination, Adamawa State for Pilgrim Education and Enlightenment, and Niger State for Discipline and Conduct.
Ogun State received the award for Logistics Compliance, Kogi State emerged as the best in Hajj Savings Scheme Operations, while Kano State won the Administrative Efficiency category.
Edo State received a Special Commendation for Patience, Perseverance and Coordination.

The Commission also honored 30 officials drawn from the Command-and-Control Centre, National Medical Team, National Media Team, ICT Department, National Ulama Committee, Passport Management and Control Committees, Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, Feeding and Accommodation Committees, Tour Operators Committee and other operational units. The awards recognized diligence, professionalism, innovation, commitment to duty and outstanding service during the 2026 Hajj.
In addition, NAHCON presented institutional recognition awards to key government agencies and operational teams whose support contributed to the successful conduct of the pilgrimage.
