FCT Muslim Pilgrims Board Fixes 2027 Hajj Fare at N7.67m

The Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board (FCT MPWB) has announced N7,672,822 as the 2027 Hajj fare for intending pilgrims from the Federal Capital Territory.
The disclosure was contained in a statement signed by Ahmad Saleh, Chief Information Officer of the Board, and made available to Hajj Gazette News and Current Affairs in Abuja on Sunday.
The Director of the Board, Malam Kadiri Edah, announced the fare during an interaction with journalists in his office in Abuja, saying the amount was in line with the recent fare announcement by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
Edah urged intending pilgrims who had earlier deposited N7.5 million or less with the Board to complete their payments in accordance with the newly approved fare.
He said the outstanding balance must be paid through a bank draft payable to the FCT Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board, Abuja, obtained from any commercial bank.
According to him, all balance payments must be made on or before September 25, 2026, which is the deadline for the registration exercise.
The Board director also warned intending pilgrims who have yet to submit their international passports to do so without further delay, stressing that failure to meet the requirement could lead to the forfeiture of their Hajj slots.
He explained that passports submitted for the exercise must remain valid through October 2027.
In addition to the passport, pilgrims are required to submit a photocopy of their National Identification Number (NIN) slip, four recent passport photographs and a completed guarantor’s form, among other documents.
Edah assured intending pilgrims that the Board remained committed to providing quality services and ensuring their welfare throughout the pilgrimage.
He said the Board was working towards ensuring timely airlift arrangements, suitable accommodation and quality meals for FCT pilgrims during the 2027 Hajj exercise.
The director therefore urged all intending pilgrims to comply with the payment and documentation requirements within the stipulated deadlines to avoid losing their allocated slots.
