The Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission has announced a N7,560,822 fare for the 2027 Hajj and allocated 957 seats to intending pilgrims in the state.

The Acting Executive Chairman of the Commission, Malam Abubakar Salihu, disclosed this during a live telephone interview on Sunday on ABC Yola’s Hausa entertainment programme, “Taba Kidi Taba Karatu.”

Salihu said the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) had finalised the list of approved air carriers for the 2027 Hajj operation, assuring intending pilgrims that the airlines met the required safety and service standards.

He explained that the approved fare reflected prevailing economic conditions and the cost of essential services in Saudi Arabia.

The Acting Executive Chairman, however, urged intending pilgrims to act quickly because of the limited number of seats allocated to Adamawa compared with the expected demand.

He directed pilgrims who had paid the initial N5 million deposit to complete their outstanding payments on or before September 16, 2026, to secure their seats.

“We are calling on all those who wish to perform the 2027 Hajj to complete their payments by the September deadline,” Salihu said.

He also directed all intending pilgrims to submit their international passports to the Commission immediately.

According to him, the passports are required to facilitate the timely uploading of pilgrims’ data onto the Hajj portal, a key requirement for visa processing and final registration.

Salihu warned that pilgrims who fail to submit their passports or complete their payments before the deadline risk losing their allocated seats to applicants on the waiting list.

He commended Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, for his continued support for Hajj operations in the state and prayed for a successful and hitch-free 2027 pilgrimage.
