Bauchi: Governor Bala Appoints Amirul Hajj Team for 2026 Pilgrimage

Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has approved the appointment of a seven-member Amirul Hajj Team to oversee the state’s participation in the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.
The team is to be led by the Emir of Misau, Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman as Amirul Hajj, with the Speaker of the State House of Assembly designated as Deputy Amirul Hajj for the 2026 exercise.
Other members of the committee include the Chief Judge of Bauchi State, the Grand Khadi, the Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, the Commissioner of Finance, and the Commissioner of Religious Affairs.
The appointment is part of the state government’s strategic planning to ensure effective coordination, administrative efficiency, and the welfare of Bauchi pilgrims during the 2026 Hajj operations.
The Amirul Hajj Team is expected to provide leadership, guidance, and oversight throughout the pilgrimage, while also serving as the official link between the Bauchi State Government and Hajj authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
