Breaking: Kano Pilgrims Welfare Board DG, Laminu Rabiu, Resigns

The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Laminu Rabiu, has resigned from his appointment with immediate effect.
In a resignation letter addressed to the state governor, Alhaji Rabiu said his decision followed recent political developments within his party that necessitated a realignment of his focus and commitments.
He explained that stepping aside would allow him to fully support the strategic direction of his political movement within the current political landscape.
He reaffirmed his loyalty to the Kwankwasiyya movement and its leader, Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, stressing that the decision was taken in the interest of preserving party unity and advancing its broader political objectives.
Alhaji Rabiu expressed appreciation to the governor for the trust and confidence placed in him to lead the board, describing the opportunity as an honour.
He added that he was proud of the achievements recorded during his tenure, particularly in improving pilgrims’ welfare and strengthening the Board’s operational efficiency.
He also thanked Allah (SWT), members and staff of the Board for their support and cooperation throughout his service.
