Saudi: Riyadh Airport Issues Fresh Advisory to Passengers

King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh has issued a fresh advisory directing passengers to confirm their flight schedules and booking status with their airlines before travelling to the airport, ahead of new terminal arrangements taking effect on Sunday, October 25.

In a travel notice issued on Saturday, the airport announced that Terminal 1 would be designated for domestic flights, while Terminal 2 would handle international flights operated by Saudi national carriers.

The new arrangements are expected to guide passengers travelling through the Saudi capital’s main international aviation hub from Sunday.

The airport urged passengers to contact their respective airlines to verify their flight details and booking status before setting out for the airport to avoid confusion arising from the terminal changes or possible adjustments to flight schedules.

The advisory specifically covers flights operated by Saudi national carriers and does not establish whether international flights operated by foreign airlines will be affected by the changes.

Passengers have therefore been advised to rely on information provided directly by their airlines when confirming their departure terminals and flight status.

King Khalid International Airport is one of Saudi Arabia’s major aviation hubs, serving domestic and international travellers through Riyadh.

The latest notice highlights the importance of checking updated travel information before departure, particularly for passengers with connecting flights or those travelling on tight schedules.

Passengers travelling through the airport on Sunday are advised to confirm their flight details before leaving for the airport and follow any additional instructions issued by their airlines.
