2027 Hajj: What Pilgrims Must Do After NAHCON Fixes Final Fare

With the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) having fixed the final fares for the 2027 Hajj, intending pilgrims are expected to move into the next phase of preparations by completing payments, documentation and mandatory data requirements ahead of the Saudi Arabian deadlines.
NAHCON announced fares ranging from N7.56 million to N7.88 million, depending on the pilgrim’s zone, bringing greater clarity to the financial obligations for those planning to perform the pilgrimage next year.
For pilgrims who have already made the initial payment, the immediate priority is to pay the outstanding balance within the deadline prescribed by their respective State Pilgrims Welfare Boards.
The Commission has also emphasised the importance of completing pilgrim data processing through the Saudi-linked Nusuk-Masar platform. Intending pilgrims must ensure that their personal information, biometric details and other required documentation are accurately captured and uploaded.
The deadline for the completion of the relevant pilgrim data process has been fixed for September 26, 2026, making prompt action critical for states and pilgrims.

Pilgrims should therefore confirm their registration status with their respective State Pilgrims Welfare Boards and ensure that all required documents, including valid international passports and other relevant Hajj documentation, have been submitted.
They are also advised to rely only on authorised channels for payments and registration to avoid falling victim to fraudsters or unauthorised agents.
Beyond individual payments and documentation, states have a broader financial obligation to meet. NAHCON has fixed December 2, 2026, as the deadline for states to remit the full 2027 Hajj fares to the Commission.
The Commission has linked timely remittance to critical operational processes, including data synchronisation and airline seat allocation.
With NAHCON also approving five airlines for the 2027 airlift operation, the focus is now shifting from fare determination to implementation.
For intending pilgrims, the message is clear: registration alone is no longer enough. Completing payment, documentation, biometric capture and data verification on time will be essential to securing their place for the 2027 Hajj.
