Gombe Airport Commends Stakeholders as 2026 Hajj Airlift Concludes Successfully

The management of Gombe International Airport has expressed appreciation to the Gombe State Government and all stakeholders for their contributions to the successful conclusion of the 2026 Hajj airlift operations.
In a statement issued by the Sole Administrator of the airport, Engr. Suleiman Daniel Musa, the airport management commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for providing the leadership, support, and guidance that facilitated the smooth transportation of pilgrims to and from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
According to Musa, the successful completion of the exercise demonstrates the impact of effective planning, strong coordination, and collaborative efforts among government agencies and service providers involved in the operation.
He noted that the seamless movement of pilgrims throughout the Hajj season reflected the state’s commitment to delivering efficient services and ensuring the welfare of its citizens participating in one of the most important religious obligations in Islam.
The airport administrator also acknowledged the contributions of the Gombe State Pilgrims Welfare Board, security agencies, health personnel, immigration officials, airline operators, ground handling teams, media organizations, and other stakeholders who played critical roles in the success of the exercise.
He praised their professionalism, dedication, and tireless efforts, which ensured that pilgrims experienced safe, orderly, and efficient travel arrangements during both the outbound and return phases of the airlift.
Musa described the successful conclusion of the operation as a collective achievement that underscores the commitment of all parties to excellence in public service delivery.
He further expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting pilgrims the opportunity to perform the Hajj successfully and return home safely.
The 2026 Hajj airlift operation from Gombe International Airport was conducted without major disruptions, marking another milestone in the state’s efforts to provide quality services to intending pilgrims.
