Hajj 2026: Saudi Authorities Designate Hospitals in Mina for Pilgrims’ Medical Services

Saudi Arabia’s health authorities have outlined key medical facilities in Mina to cater to pilgrims participating in the 2026 Hajj, reinforcing healthcare preparedness in one of the most critical phases of the pilgrimage.
The designated hospitals, strategically located across Mina, are equipped with emergency and intensive care units to manage a wide range of medical cases during the peak pilgrimage period.
Mina Emergency Hospital leads in capacity with 190 beds, including 12 dedicated emergency beds and 34 intensive care units, positioning it as a primary referral center for critical cases.
Mina Al-Jisr Hospital follows with a 150-bed capacity, comprising 36 emergency beds and 28 intensive care units, offering substantial support for urgent medical interventions.
At Mina Al-Wadi Hospital, authorities have provided 160 beds, including 24 emergency and 25 intensive care beds, ensuring balanced service delivery for both routine and emergency cases.
Meanwhile, Mina New Street Hospital, though smaller in scale, contributes 50 beds, with 13 allocated for emergency care and 16 for intensive care, complementing the broader healthcare network in the area.
The distribution of these facilities reflects a coordinated strategy to decentralize healthcare access within Mina, reduce response times, and enhance patient outcomes during Hajj operations.
Officials say the hospitals have full staffing and the necessary equipment to treat heat-related illnesses, fatigue, and other health conditions linked to the physically demanding pilgrimage rites.
The deployment underscores Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to strengthening medical infrastructure and safeguarding the wellbeing of millions of pilgrims expected at the 2026 Hajj.
