Saudi Warns Against Transporting Visit Visa Holders to Makkah During Hajj

Authorities in Saudi Arabia have issued a stern warning against the transportation of visit visa holders to Makkah during the Hajj period, announcing stringent penalties for violators.
In a statement, officials disclosed that individuals or entities found transporting visit visa holders into the holy city risk fines of up to SR100,000 (35.89 million).
The directive forms part of broader regulatory measures aimed at ensuring order, safety, and compliance during the annual pilgrimage.
The enforcement window spans from April 20 to May 30, covering the peak period of pilgrim influx.
Authorities emphasized that any vehicle used in facilitating unauthorized transport may be confiscated as part of punitive actions.
The government further urged the public to support enforcement efforts by reporting violations through designated emergency lines.
The move according to officials, underscores Saudi Arabia’s continued commitment to maintaining strict access control to Makkah during Hajj, limiting entry to authorized pilgrims in line with established guidelines.
