A massive influx of worshippers and Umrah performers converged on Masjid al-Haram on the 29th night of Ramadan, as pilgrims gathered for Isha and Taraweeh prayers, culminating in the completion of the Holy Qur’an in a deeply spiritual atmosphere.

From the early hours of the day, the mosque’s courtyards, corridors, and mataf area, along with surrounding access routes, recorded heavy human traffic.

Despite the surge, worshippers performed their rituals in an orderly environment supported by extensive service delivery frameworks and ongoing infrastructure enhancements overseen by Saudi authorities.

The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque activated its full operational capacity in coordination with relevant agencies to manage crowd dynamics and ensure seamless movement across designated prayer zones.

Special provisions were implemented to support elderly worshippers and persons with disabilities.

Operational measures included the deployment of directional signage, intensified cleaning and sterilization protocols, and continuous perfuming of facilities.

Zamzam water distribution points were maintained across multiple strategic locations on a 24-hour basis.

Authorities also enforced structured entry and exit flows through designated gates, introduced dedicated access channels for vulnerable groups, and strengthened field response teams to address inquiries and provide real-time assistance.

Advanced technical systems were fully operational, ensuring optimal performance of sound, cooling, ventilation, and lighting infrastructure.

Electric and manual transport carts were made available through the “Tanqol” application under regulated movement plans.

Crowd control efforts were further enhanced through multilingual digital guidance screens and coordinated field operations, particularly during peak congestion periods.

Escalators, elevators, and emergency systems remained on high alert, supported by reinforced field teams overseeing continuous sanitation and operational readiness.

Additionally, the “Ask Me” initiative was deployed to provide multilingual, on-ground guidance, assisting visitors in navigating the mosque complex efficiently.

The authority reaffirmed its commitment to delivering high-impact service standards through integrated operational planning, ensuring a safe, organized, and spiritually fulfilling experience for millions of worshippers observing one of Ramadan’s most significant nights.
