2027 Hajj: What Countries Must Complete in August Under Saudi Timetable

Participating countries preparing for the 2027 Hajj must intensify their preparations in August as key stages of Saudi Arabia’s official operational timetable move into implementation.
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has set August 14, 2026 as the date for participating countries to begin uploading pilgrims’ information to the Nusuk Masar platform, marking an important transition from preliminary planning to digital processing for Hajj 1448AH.
The data-upload window will remain open until January 28, 2027, giving countries time to submit the required information ahead of the visa issuance stage.
Alongside pilgrim data preparation, participating countries must continue work on their Hajj service arrangements. The Saudi timetable provides a contracting window from July 29, 2026, to January 23, 2027 for key services, including accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, tents, catering and transportation.
Countries must also progress with their airline arrangements. The timetable requires agreements with designated airlines and the submission of relevant documentation through Nusuk Masar between July 29 and November 8, 2026.
Financial preparations also remain active in August. Participating countries can transfer funds covering Saudi-side Hajj services to the Nusuk Masar electronic wallet between July 15 and December 24, 2026.

The August schedule therefore places significant responsibility on Hajj authorities to ensure that pilgrim records, passports and other required information are accurate and ready for electronic processing.
The Saudi timetable also sets September 26, 2026 as the deadline for completing international pilgrim registration. Countries that fail to meet the prescribed milestones could face pressure in subsequent stages of Hajj planning.
For Nigeria, the timeline has direct implications for the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), state pilgrims’ welfare boards and licensed private Hajj operators as they prepare for the 2027 pilgrimage.
With the August 14 data-upload window approaching, Nigerian Hajj stakeholders must align their domestic registration and operator-licensing processes with Saudi Arabia’s digital requirements to avoid delays in the 2027 Hajj operation.
