2027 Hajj: Saudi Ministry Begins Preparations with Over 75 Countries

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has begun preparatory meetings with Hajj affairs offices from more than 75 countries as part of early planning for the 2027 Hajj season.
The meetings, which commenced in Makkah, are designed to strengthen coordination and integration between Saudi authorities and countries participating in the annual pilgrimage, while enhancing operational readiness and facilitating pilgrims’ journeys.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the engagements focus on reviewing preparations and operational plans submitted by Hajj affairs offices for the 1448AH Hajj season.
The ministry is also using the meetings to review key instructions and regulations governing Hajj operations, examine the requirements of participating Hajj affairs offices and respond to their inquiries.
It said the engagements would support the completion of necessary arrangements within the approved timelines and ensure that all stakeholders remain aligned ahead of the pilgrimage.

The ministry described the meetings as part of Saudi Arabia’s early preparations for the 1448AH Hajj season, in line with directives from the country’s leadership to dedicate available resources to serving pilgrims and facilitating their religious journey.
It added that the initiative supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Pilgrims Service Program through stronger coordination with Hajj affairs offices and other relevant authorities.
According to the ministry, the enhanced coordination will help raise preparedness levels, improve the quality of services and streamline arrangements for pilgrims.
The ministry said the ultimate objective is to enable pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and tranquillity while enriching their spiritual experience.
The latest initiative highlights Saudi Arabia’s growing emphasis on early planning and international coordination as preparations intensify for the 2027 Hajj season, with authorities seeking to address operational requirements well ahead of pilgrims’ arrival in the Kingdom.
