2027 Hajj: Kebbi Gives Pilgrims Four Days to Complete Payment

The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has given intending pilgrims four days to complete payment for the 2027 Hajj, warning that the state will not extend its September 10 deadline.
The Chairman of the Agency, Faruku Enabo, issued the directive following consultations with Hajj Guides and Officers across the state as preparations intensify for the pilgrimage.
Under the new directive, pilgrims who have already paid the N5 million initial deposit must settle their outstanding balances by September 9, 2026, while those opting to make full payment must pay the approved N7,672,822 Hajj fare by September 10.
Enabo also directed intending pilgrims who have yet to submit their international passports to immediately hand them over to their respective Hajj leaders.
The chairman stressed that the September 10 deadline is final, saying there would be no further extension by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

The warning comes as Nigerian states race to conclude registration, payment and documentation for the 2027 Hajj within timelines set for the operation.
For Kebbi pilgrims, the directive places immediate pressure on those who have paid only the initial deposit to raise the outstanding balance, while those yet to complete documentation must also submit their passports without further delay.
Enabo urged Hajj Guides across the state to ensure that intending pilgrims receive and comply with the directive to avoid being left out of the 2027 operation.
He also commended the state governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, for his continued support to the Pilgrims Welfare Agency.
According to him, the government’s interventions have strengthened the agnecy’s capacity to facilitate successful Hajj operations annually.
The agency’s latest directive signals a final push to close outstanding financial and documentation gaps as Kebbi moves to consolidate its 2027 Hajj arrangements.
