2026 Hajj: NAHCON Chairman Departs for Saudi Arabia to Finalise Preparations

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, has departed Nigeria for Saudi Arabia on an official working visit aimed at concluding final preparations for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The trip forms part of NAHCON’s execution strategy to align operational deliverables with the approved Hajj timeline, as mandated by relevant Saudi Arabian authorities. Key engagements during the visit are expected to focus on coordination, compliance, and last-mile arrangements critical to the smooth conduct of the 2026 pilgrimage.
According to a statement issued by Ahmad Muazu, Technical assistant Media Office of the Chairman, Professor Usman was seen off by staff of the Commission’s Kano Zonal Office, led by the Zonal Coordinator, Malam Umar Kalgo.
He explained that the visit underscores NAHCON’s commitment to proactive planning, institutional efficiency, and effective stakeholder engagement in ensuring a seamless Hajj operation for Nigerian pilgrims.
