Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, on Thursday visited the state’s pilgrims in Mina during the 2026 Hajj exercise, urging them to continue praying for peace, progress, and prosperity in the state and Nigeria.

 

Addressing the pilgrims, Governor Sani stressed the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence, noting that no political ambition is worth the loss of human lives.

 

The Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Ibrahim Datti, disclosed this in a statement.

 

He explained that the governor called on citizens to embrace peace, tolerance, and understanding for the overall development of society.

 

As part of his support to the pilgrims, the governor donated SR300 to each pilgrim from Kaduna State.

 

Governor Sani also commended the State Government Delegation, led by Malam Abubakar Mustapha, and the Executive Chairman of the Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Malam Salihu Abubakar, for their commitment and proper planning toward ensuring the welfare and comfort of pilgrims during the Hajj exercise.

 

The governor further appealed to the pilgrims to remain patient with the minor challenges encountered during the exercise.

 

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Government Delegation, Malam Abubakar Mustapha, appreciated the governor for his continuous support to Kaduna pilgrims.

 

He assured the pilgrims that the delegation was working closely with the leadership of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency to ensure smooth and hitch-free Hajj operations.

 

Similarly, the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, welcomed the governor and stated that all requests made by the agency regarding the welfare and comfort of Kaduna pilgrims had received the governor’s approval and support.

 

He also commended members of the Government Delegation Committee for their cooperation, dedication, and commitment throughout the Hajj exercise, while appealing to the pilgrims to continue praying for the governor and Kaduna State.

 

The highlight of the visit was the presentation of an award to Governor Uba Sani by the Mu’assasa service provider in recognition of his support and commitment to the welfare of pilgrims. Malam Abubakar Mustapha was also honored with an award during the event.
