2026 Hajj: Gombe First Lady, 559 Pilgrims Arrive Makkah from Madinah

The second batch of 2026 Hajj intending pilgrims from Gombe State has arrived in Makkah from Madinah as preparations continue for the annual pilgrimage exercise.
The contingent, comprising 559 pilgrims, travelled by road on Saturday as part of the ongoing movement of Nigerian pilgrims to Makkah ahead of the commencement of Hajj rites.
Among the prominent personalities in the delegation are the Wife of the Governor of Gombe State, Hajiya Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya; the Chairman of the Gombe State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board and Emir of Dukku, Alhaji Haruna Abdulkadir Rasheed; and the Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Sa’adu Hassan.
The delegation also includes local government Hajj officers, board members, Islamic scholars and other intending pilgrims from across the state.
The movement from Madinah to Makkah marks a significant phase in the pilgrimage process, as pilgrims prepare to observe the spiritual rites associated with the 2026 Hajj exercise in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
