Saudi Arabia has reported a 93.1 percent pilgrim satisfaction rate for the just concluded 2026 season, highlighting significant achievements in transportation, environmental sustainability, and economic activity during the annual pilgrimage.

Saudi authorities deployed an integrated network of services and infrastructure to transport more than 1.44 million pilgrims, enhancing efficiency and improving the overall Hajj experience.

The Kingdom reported substantial improvements in transportation logistics, with transit times reduced by up to 48 percent in key operational areas.

The achievement was attributed to enhanced coordination among government agencies, advanced mobility systems, and strategic planning aimed at easing the movement of pilgrims between holy sites.

In line with its environmental sustainability goals, Saudi Arabia also planted more than 60,000 trees across Hajj-related locations, contributing to efforts aimed at improving green spaces and mitigate the impact of high temperatures during the pilgrimage season.

Economic activity during the Hajj period also reached a new milestone, with authorities recording more than 1.2 million contracts, the highest figure reported to date. The contracts covered a wide range of services, including accommodation, transportation, catering, and logistics, reflecting the scale of commercial operations supporting the annual pilgrimage.

Officials described the results as evidence of the Kingdom’s continued investment in modernizing Hajj services and enhancing the comfort, safety, and spiritual experience of pilgrims from around the world.

The successful completion of the 2026 (1447 AH) Hajj season reinforces Saudi Arabia’s commitment to improving pilgrimage operations through innovation, sustainability initiatives, and expanded service delivery as part of its broader development agenda.
