Saudi Health Ministry Advises Pilgrims Against Sharing Shaving Tools During Tahallul

The Saudi Ministry of Health has urged Hajj pilgrims to avoid sharing shaving tools during tahallul, the ritual marking the exit from the state of Ihram, as part of efforts to safeguard public health and prevent the spread of infections.
The ministry emphasized the need for pilgrims to strictly adhere to preventive health measures while performing Hajj rites.
It advised pilgrims to regularly drink water, carry umbrellas to reduce heat exposure, wear face masks in crowded areas, and avoid direct sunlight during peak daytime hours.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, through the Holy Makkah Mayoralty, said it has intensified inspection and monitoring activities at authorized barbershop locations across the holy sites during the Eid Al-Adha period.
According to the ministry, inspection teams are ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including the use of sterilized equipment, disposable shaving materials, and proper environmental sanitation within and around barbershop facilities.
The ministry noted that the ongoing oversight operations form part of integrated municipal services designed to provide pilgrims with a safe and healthy environment throughout the Hajj season.
Authorities further stated that monitoring activities will continue during the Days of Tashreeq to enhance the quality of services and support pilgrims in performing their religious obligations with ease and peace of mind.
