Plateau Board Announces Successfully Complete 2026 Hajj by All Pilgrims

The Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the successful completion 2026 Hajj exercise by all pilgrims from the state.
According to the board, the Pilgrims who participated in the exercise successfully completed the core rites of the pilgrimage, joining millions of Muslims from across the globe in fulfilling one of the fundamental pillars of Islam.
The board explained in a statement issued by Hajiya Amina Hamisu Isma’il that the pilgrims commenced the peak phase of the pilgrimage on the 8th day of Dhul-Hijjah with their movement to Mina, where they spent the night in worship and spiritual preparation for the Day of Arafat.
On the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah, the Plateau contingent joined other pilgrims at the Plain of Arafat for Wuquf, the central rite of Hajj, where prayers and supplications were offered for personal, communal, and national wellbeing.
Following the Arafat exercise, the pilgrims proceeded to Muzdalifah, where they observed the traditional overnight stay and collected pebbles for the symbolic stoning ritual.
They subsequently returned to Mina and successfully carried out the stoning of Jamratul Aqabah before completing the rites at all three Jamarat, Jamratul Ula, Jamratul Wusta, and Jamratul Aqabah, during the days of Tashreeq.
With the completion of the Mina rites, the pilgrims returned to Makkah to perform the Tawaf al-Ifadah and Sa’i, thereby fulfilling the major obligations of the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.
Reacting to the successful completion of the rites, the Amirul Hajj for Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Maje, expressed satisfaction with the smooth coordination of the exercise and commended officials of the Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board for their dedication and professionalism.
He specifically praised the Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Daiyabu Dauda, the Board Chairman, Alhaji Danladi Kwari, members of the board, government officials, management, and operational staff for their collective efforts in ensuring the welfare and comfort of the pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage.
The Amirul Hajj also lauded the pilgrims for their discipline, patience, and cooperation, urging them to sustain the virtues of piety, obedience, and good conduct that define the Hajj experience.
He reassured the pilgrims of the board’s continued commitment to their welfare until the completion of the exercise and prayed for Allah’s acceptance of their acts of worship.
As part of the Day of Arafat activities, Ulamas, the Amirul Hajj, members of his delegation, and pilgrims offered special prayers for lasting peace, unity, and development in Plateau State and Nigeria.
In a gesture of support and goodwill, the Amirul Hajj announced that Governor Caleb Mutfwang had approved a Sallah package of N100,000 for each Plateau State pilgrim participating in the 2026 Hajj exercise.
