The Philippines has suspended general acceptance of payments for the 2027 Hajj season as authorities approach the country’s allocated quota for the annual pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), through its Bureau of Pilgrimage and Endowment (BPE), announced the decision in Hajj Advisory No. 27-014 dated October 23, 2026.

The commission said its initial assessment of payments submitted by intending pilgrims against available Hajj slots and visas showed that the country was approaching its total allocation for the 2027 pilgrimage.

Consequently, the NCMF declared the general acceptance of Hajj payments closed, while leaving room for further payments if additional visa allocations remain available after verification.

Under the arrangement, any subsequent payment would be accepted exclusively through the Land Bank of the Philippines branch on Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City, subject to prior endorsement by the NCMF’s Bureau of Pilgrimage and Endowment.

The commission also announced that all branches of the Land Bank of the Philippines would stop accepting payments for the 2027 Hajj season from October 26 until further notice.

The restriction means intending pilgrims can no longer make payments through the bank’s regular nationwide branches under the existing arrangement.

However, the advisory did not declare the country’s Hajj quota fully exhausted, stating only that authorities were approaching their total allocation.

The NCMF expressed appreciation for the strong response from intending pilgrims and said it looked forward to facilitating a smooth pilgrimage for registered participants.

It advised those seeking further information to contact their nearest regional office, reach out through the official Facebook page of the NCMF’s Bureau of Pilgrimage and Endowment, or send enquiries to ncmf.bpe@gmail.com.

The announcement comes as Hajj-sending countries continue preparations for the 2027 pilgrimage, with payment collection, quota management and visa processing remaining important aspects of the process.

The NCMF advisory did not specify the number of pilgrims who had paid, the country’s total Hajj quota or the number of visa allocations that might remain available.
