Over 860,000 Pilgrims Arrive Saudi Arabia for 2026 Hajj – Minister

The Saudi Arabian Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah has disclosed that more than 860,000 pilgrims have so far arrived in the Kingdom for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage through various air, land and sea entry points.
The minister stated that the steady influx of pilgrims reflects the extensive preparations and coordination put in place by Saudi authorities to ensure a smooth and successful Hajj exercise.
According to the minister, pilgrims entered the Kingdom through different border and transport ports, including international airports, land crossings and seaports designated for Hajj operations.
He explained that relevant agencies and service providers are working round the clock to facilitate the movement, accommodation and welfare of pilgrims arriving from different parts of the world.
The minister further noted that Saudi authorities have continued to implement comprehensive operational plans aimed at easing entry procedures, improving crowd management and enhancing services for the guests of Allah during the pilgrimage season.
The Hajj exercise, which attracts millions of Muslims annually, remains one of the largest religious gatherings in the world.
Saudi authorities have consistently introduced digital systems and logistical measures in recent years to improve pilgrims’ experience and ensure safety throughout the pilgrimage period.
Meanwhile, more pilgrims are expected to arrive in the coming days as countries like Nigeria continue their airlift operations to the Kingdom ahead of the commencement of Hajj rites.
