Over 51,000 Pakistanis Register for Hajj 2027 Within Two Days

Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs says it has recorded an overwhelming response to the 2027 Hajj registration exercise, with more than 51,000 intending pilgrims completing their registration within the first two days of the campaign.
The ministry disclosed that the registration process attracted strong participation from citizens across the country, reflecting growing interest in the upcoming pilgrimage.
According to the ministry’s spokesperson, over 46,000 applicants registered through the official online portal, while approximately 5,000 others completed the process using the Pak Hajj mobile application from their homes.
Official figures show that around 41,000 applicants selected the government Hajj scheme, while nearly 10,000 registered under the private Hajj scheme.
A provincial breakdown indicates that Punjab recorded the highest number of registrations, accounting for about 24,000 applicants.
Sindh followed with 16,000 registrations, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded 7,000 applicants.
Islamabad contributed approximately 3,000 registrations during the first two days of the exercise.
The ministry also reported registrations from other regions, including 800 applicants from Balochistan, 260 from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and 77 from Gilgit-Baltistan.
Gender statistics released by the ministry show that about 30,000 men and 21,000 women have registered so far. The largest proportion of applicants falls within the 30 to 48-year age bracket.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs said it is working closely with the National Information Technology Board (NITB) to modernize Hajj operations through a fully paperless and end-to-end digital system.
The new digital system will improve convenience, transparency, and service delivery for intending pilgrims.
Officials emphasized that the mandatory registration campaign remains open and will continue without interruption.
The ministry added that it will announce details of Hajj fares, packages, and other operational arrangements in the next phase of preparations.
The ministry also urged intending pilgrims to complete their registration before the deadline to avoid difficulties in subsequent stages of the process.
