The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has alerted the public to a fraudulent Facebook account falsely claiming to represent its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Amb. Ismail Abba Yusuf.

In a statement released by Fatima Sanda Usara, Deputy Director of Information, the Commission clarified that the Facebook profile currently circulating online is fake and has no connection whatsoever with the Chairman or the Commission.

According to the statement, Amb. Yusuf does not operate any Facebook account or maintain a presence on other social media platforms.

The Commission stressed that any messages, announcements, or engagements purportedly coming from such accounts should be ignored.

NAHCON urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report the fraudulent account to the appropriate authorities to prevent unsuspecting individuals from falling victim to potential scams or misinformation.

The Commission further advised stakeholders, intending pilgrims, and the general public to rely strictly on NAHCON’s verified and official communication channels for authentic information regarding Hajj operations and related matters.
