The Director General (DG) of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has charged staff of the Board to demonstrate unwavering dedication, commitment, and discipline in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Matawalle gave the directive during a general staff meeting, stressing that a strong work ethic remains central to achieving the institution’s mandate of delivering effective and efficient welfare services to pilgrims.
He reaffirmed management’s commitment to staff welfare, assuring employees that his administration would continue to prioritize their well-being and provide a conducive working environment to enhance operational efficiency.
In a move aimed at boosting productivity and institutional support, the DG announced plans to establish a Staff Welfare Desk Officer.

The desk, he explained, will address staff-related challenges, with particular focus on cases involving incapacitated personnel, as part of broader efforts to strengthen service delivery.
Matawalle urged staff to reciprocate management’s initiatives by upholding professionalism, integrity and teamwork, noting that collective responsibility is critical to sustaining performance standards and public trust.
